Terms of Service – Hostux Network
By accessing our services, you agree to be bound by the terms below. Please read them carefully before using the services, because they define the basic framework in which Hostux operates. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services. Some public services that require registration may also have their own specific terms and privacy policy, depending on their nature and the way they are operated.
Content
For services that let you post, link to or otherwise make content available, you grant us the limited right to display and distribute that content through the relevant service, including through applications connected to it. This right exists only so the service can function normally and make your content available in the way you intended. We may format your content for display, but we do not edit or alter its substance. Your content is displayed and distributed only according to the visibility rules you have chosen, and we do not change those visibility settings on your behalf.
Aside from this limited right to display and distribute your content, you retain all rights to the material you post, link to or otherwise make available through our services. In other words, using Hostux does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Liability
You are responsible for the content you make available through our services, including its legality, reliability and appropriateness. That responsibility also includes making sure you are entitled to share the material in question and that it does not violate the rules applicable to the service you use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hostux will not be liable to you or to any third party for special, indirect, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages arising from or connected with our services, or with any content included on or otherwise made available through them. Our services are provided in a pragmatic and community-minded way, but they cannot come with an unlimited guarantee against every possible failure, interruption or misuse.
Code of Conduct
Be excellent to one another. Be polite and respectful. Everyone is welcome to use our services. We aim to keep them safe and welcoming for all people, regardless of age, gender, class, sexual orientation, appearance or Linux distribution. The general idea is simple: these services are meant to remain usable, readable and welcoming rather than hostile, exhausting or toxic.
To make that possible, we are not tolerant of intolerance. Toxic content, abusive behavior and harassment are not welcome on our services. Hate speech, intimidation, repeated abuse or behavior that makes the service unsafe for others may lead to moderation action. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do not comply with this code of conduct.
Personal Data & Privacy
We collect only the basic account and profile information that you provide directly to our services, often on an optional basis, such as a username, email address or display name. Many of our services do not even require that information. We try to keep data collection limited to what is actually useful for the service to work.
We do not share your information with third parties. We use it only to provide the core functionality of our services. It is not used to build advertising profiles or to feed tracking systems.
We do not log information about how you use our services. We do not run analytics, and we do not keep access logs on our servers. Our goal is to offer services that remain useful without relying on routine behavioral monitoring.
Depending on the service, you may be able to export your personal data and content, or delete them entirely. This does not apply to services that do not rely on identity information, but we may periodically remove inactive accounts in order to keep the infrastructure manageable and avoid accumulating abandoned data indefinitely.
Future Changes
If we decide to change this policy, we will publish those changes on this page so the evolution of the rules remains visible to users.
