Excalidraw
Online whiteboard for drawing diagrams, sketches and visual explanations simply, quickly and readably.
Overview
Excalidraw lets you quickly produce readable diagrams, architecture sketches and visual work materials. The service is based on Excalidraw, a free whiteboard with a hand-drawn style, designed to move fast without imposing the complexity of a full design tool.
This instance works well for individual use, quick diagrams and lightweight visual documentation. It is suitable for creating and sharing diagrams simply, but not for real-time collaborative editing. That makes it especially useful when the goal is to think, explain or document quickly rather than to run a full shared workshop in the browser.

Why use Excalidraw
- Draw a diagram quickly without a complex tool.
- Visualize an idea, architecture or flow in a clear way.
- Prepare material for a meeting, reflection session or documentation.
- Create a technical sketch that can be shared by exporting a file or image.
- Use a lightweight visual editor with a distinctive graphic identity.
Its value is often in speed more than in polish: you can move from idea to readable diagram in a few minutes, which is often all a technical discussion really needs.

Limits of this instance
This Excalidraw instance is well suited to creating and sharing diagrams, for example through image or file export. Real-time collaborative editing is not available on this self-hosted version.
The service is therefore very good for drawing quickly, exporting and sending a diagram, but not for live multi-user editing on the same canvas.
How the service works
- You open the editor directly in the browser, without an account.
- You create your diagram or sketch using the tools available on the canvas.
- You can then export your work as an image, to the clipboard or in the native Excalidraw format.
- This instance is mainly suited to individual drawing and file or export sharing, not to live collaborative editing.
Use cases
- Sketch an architecture quickly.
- Explain a flow for support or documentation.
- Draw a wireframe or a small product idea.
- Prepare an image for a ticket, a note or a pad.
